WinCAM NDVI is a color based area meter

WinCAM NDVI uses image analysis to quantify areas of different color that falls into ranges that you specify. It has a wide variety of applications. For example, it can measure the diseased area on fruits, leaves, flowers or any other material that shows a minimum of color contrasts. WinCAM NDVI is very sensitive and can detect very small color differences. Its interactive design makes it very easy to use.

WinCAM NDVI can also measure known vegetation indexes and allows you to define your owns

Two widely used Vegetation index are pre-defined; the NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) and the Greenness indexes. These are used to quantify plant health and vigor. They can quantify overstory or plant cover (from images taken below canopy pointing upward or from above canopy pointing downward). Their applications are numerous and range form agricultural assessment, vegetative inventory, crop drought monitoring, risk of fire assessment. Such data complement well the LAI (Leaf Area Index) data produced by our WinSCANOPY product.

WinCAM NDVI is also a morphology analyser and an object classifier (Pro version)

It can measure basic objects morphology such as area, length and width by different methods. It also measures their color distribution (area per color) and can classify the image or the objects based on different criteria: color dominance, ratio of colors, color or vegetation index (NDVI, Greenness).

WinCAM NDVI is also a profilometer

It can be used to record and analyse light (grey levels) or color variations along paths traced interactively over the image. This tool also allows you to manually measure any object length and diameter (mostly used when no automatic analysis can be used on them).
